By this section you'll be ready to remove the pistons, starting with the rod caps. You'll also get to see the crankshaft, rod bearings and journals for the first time and inspect them for damage as they come out. Great tips on protecting the cylinder bore while removing the pistons and connecting rods. We don't recommend using a ridge reamer to make this easier. As your block will need to go the a machine shop anyway. They are likely to damage your cylinder walls and are hard to use.
