Scat’s new Red Label Series rotating assembly features a crankshaft and connecting rods both manufactured from a premium 4340 steel forging. The cranks feature a 4.050” stroke, which can turn your Hemi into a 426 cid engine.
Scat crankshafts are designed after the small block Chevy journals (2.000”) with crank pin diameters and widths. These specs provide a taller side wall on the crank rod journal for better oil control and reduced windage. The counterweights have been profiled for the 6.125” 4340 Scat H-beam connecting rods.

Additionally, these rotating assemblies feature RaceTec 2618 pistons, which boast .180” wall wrist pins and steel top rings. You have a choice of 9.5:1 or 11:1 compression ratio depending on your cylinder head.
Both the crankshaft and connecting rods get a multi-step heat treatment and are shot peened and stress relieved. Scat crankshafts go through a nitriding process for added strength for high horsepower. The big and small end bores of the rods are final honed to tolerance +/-.0002, and rods are weighed and matched to +/- 1.5 grams. These also come equipped with ARP 2000 rod bolts.
The RaceTec pistons are 2618 alloy forgings and have ring grooves squared to the cylinder wall for maximum power. They are 100% machined in RaceTec’s Hunting Beach, CA plant and come with steel top rings.
